Sketching Outlines

Sketching is how most parametric parts begin: a flat outline, drawn exactly, then extruded, revolved or swept into a solid. The sketch functions draw that outline with a pen - straight lines, circular arcs, Bezier curves, rounded and beveled corners - in any plane you choose, and give back one exact wire or a face. These pages cover the pen and its commands, how a sketch sits on a frame, how to find the edges each command drew, and the two helpers that outline a wire with a width and wrap shapes in their convex hull.
