Pricing in the Panel

Pricing is a tab inside the GUI section, because a price is built from the same choices the panel collects.

The formula it works to is straightforward:

base price, plus the amounts on the options chosen, plus any formulas, plus any products included with those choices, multiplied by the quantity control if you have one.

You turn it on in the Pricing tab and set the base price there. The amounts attached to individual options are set on the options themselves, back in the Controls tab, since that is where those options live.

To show the total to your customer, add a Price element in the Layout tab. It can show an itemised breakdown, which is worth doing.

What sits in this tab

Beyond the base price and the switch, the Pricing tab holds a few things worth knowing about.

Quantity control nominates one of your controls as the number of items being bought, so a customer can order six of the configuration they just built.

Formulas price continuous choices, such as a width slider, using an expression over the customer's values. This is what makes anything sold by size, length or area chargeable.

Included products are real items from your catalogue that always accompany certain configurations, like a mounting kit or a care pack. Pro plan.

Order snapshot saves a picture of the configured product onto the order, so you can see what was bought.

Shareable link lets a customer keep or send a link back to their exact configuration.

There is also a summary showing how the current setup will actually charge, which is the quickest way to confirm you have set things up the way you intended before publishing.
